Will my child need any special clothing for Forest School?

When it is your child’s turn for Forest School you will receive a letter
suggesting suitable clothing for the sessions.
Sensible footwear such as sturdy trainers, walking boots or wellies
are advisable.
Throughout the year, long sleeves are preferred as they help to
protect arms from scratches and sunburn. In summer, sun cream, a
water bottle and a hat will be essential as we will be outside for long
periods of time.
In winter, a warm waterproof coat, hat, gloves and layers of clothing
for warmth will be needed. Although waterproof trousers are not
essential, I tend to wear them as they keep out the cold and mean you
can sit on the floor in the woods without getting wet. School has a
few pairs of smaller sizes but if you are able to send some in that
would be appreciated.
