Ethos Group
Our historic schools are nestled in the Cheshire countryside, founded upon the principles of the Church of England, to serve the community, with Christian values at the heart of all we do.
We offer pupils a caring, nurturing environment, where we endeavour to inspire and develop each unique child to reach their full potential, encouraging faith, hope and love of God. Our diverse and creative curriculum ensures a love of the world around us, a love of learning and a love of one another.
‘Love one another, as I have loved you.’ John 13 v 34
Our Ethos group are from Y6 and are responsible for our welcome in Collective Worship and lighting the candles, the Prayer Spaces around school and being ambassadors for our vision and ethos in daily school life. We meet to discuss what we can do around school and actively encourage one another to show how our vision is lived out.
We focus on our school core Christian Values - Love, Faith, Hope, Friendship, Compassion and Courage. Our prayer stations reflect this and we change these on a regular basis.
Each year, our older children are involved in the virtual Ethos Conference, which is run by St Oswald's, Witton Church Walk and Tarporley C.E. Primary Schools. They choose a different theme each year and children can get involved all day with worship together and activities based on the theme. We always thoroughly enjoy these and it helps us to focus on our values in more depth.
