Literacy

In our literacy lessons we will have a focus text that we will spend 2 weeks reading. During these 2 weeks we will look at the characters, join in with repeated refrain or ryhming words, talk about the problem in the story and how it is resolved.  We will also discuss characters feelings and how the story makes us feel.

Autumn 2 

This half term we are reading One Snowy Night, this will link with our understanding of the world topic when we look at the seasons and we compare our country to the Arctic.

Autumn 1 

We looked at different farm animal and used new vocabulary to describe them.  We looked at life on a farm and the different jobs there are. We talked about what job we would like to on the farm. Lots of us wanted to feed the baby animals and no one wanted to the clean out the stables and pens!

We had lots of discussion about the story and how it made up feel and then we talked about pur favourite part. We drew a picture and wrote about our favourite bit.
